The Acts of The Apostates - Jude 1-7
Jude, the author of this epistle was the brother of James, this would make him the half-brother of Jesus our Lord (Mark 6:3). The brothers in the flesh did not believe in Him while He was preaching, healing, performing miracles, and even raising the dead. No, not even His own family followed Him when He was alive, After His resurrection James and Jude and I’m sure His whole family became believers (Gal.1:19). James became one of the pillars of the church in Jerusalem (Acts 12:17, Gal.2:9).
Jude’s short letter to the Church was with the intention of encouraging believers to enjoy the blessings of fellowship among the brethren. Instead, he felt compelled to write a call to arms, to battle for the truth in light of the arrival of false teachers, it is hard to believe that the devil infiltrated the Church so soon, apostates were bringing poisonous doctrines into the young Church. These workers of Satan existed in that day, and they exist today, they come in all colors and denominations.
The only way we can protect ourselves against these wolves in sheep’s clothing is by studying our Bibles from cover to cover. There is nothing more important than to know the biblical Jesus, the Son of God who died on the cross to pay for our sins, and rose from the grave the third day, and is coming again!
If we know our Bibles, we will not be deceived. As a good friend told me: “If we know the Book, we won’t be took!”
